Privacy at BeSimple
This page describes the product’s current technical behavior. It avoids promises that depend on provider configuration or laws that may vary by location.
Practice data
Raw audio is not intentionally retained by BeSimple after the analysis request. A recording is sent to the configured AI provider for transcription and analysis. Transcript, notes, scores, and coaching are retained in the signed-in account’s Clerk-owned private practice history for up to 30 days or until you delete the record. Provider handling is also governed by the configured provider’s terms.
Account and billing
Clerk provides sign-in and account sessions. BeSimple derives a one-way internal billing subject from the authenticated account and does not accept a caller-supplied user ID. Stripe processes checkout, subscriptions, and the billing portal. BeSimple retains bounded Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, price, status, and attribution identifiers needed to enforce entitlement and prevent duplicate conversion reporting.
Optional product analytics
PostHog product analytics is off by default and starts only after explicit consent. BeSimple issues a bounded, server-verified consent session and sends a random analytics identifier with a strict set of interaction fields. It does not send raw audio, transcript, prompt text, notes, generated coaching, email, name, Clerk user ID, or advertising click IDs. Autocapture and session replay are not enabled.
Advertising attribution
Only after explicit analytics consent, first-touch UTM values plus gclid, gbraid, or wbraid may be kept in bounded first-party browser storage and attached to Stripe checkout metadata. Withdrawing consent stops later attribution capture. Google Ads conversion measurement is optional and runs only after the exact signed-in account is confirmed as Pro following webhook processing. Its verified value and currency come from the matching paid invoice, and BeSimple records acknowledgement only after the provider callback. A success query, queued command, or timeout does not count as delivery.
Choices and deletion
Use Analytics choices on any page to keep optional analytics off or enable it. Withdrawing consent invalidates the active analytics consent session. Deleting a practice record removes the signed-in account’s retained application copy. Account or billing requests may require using Clerk, Stripe, or the support process because those providers hold their own records.
